CUPL is Canada's official student padel league — built by students, for students. Launched in 2024, the league unites university clubs nationwide in a fast-growing, high-energy competition.
Regional conferences feed into a national Finals Day that crowns the champions and celebrates the culture of student sport.

Regional conferences
CUPL splits the country into regional conferences. Each club plays its own mini-league over the course of the academic year — keeping travel demands and costs down while maintaining an equal structure nationwide.
3 divisions of play
Each conference features three divisions: Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 — so teams compete at the right level while maintaining an equal structure across the country.
Teams & fixtures
Each university fields two pairs per division. Points are earned through match results, and overall standings are determined by total points within each conference.
Qualification for Finals Day
The top-performing pairs from each conference qualify for Finals Day — CUPL's national tournament, where regional champions compete for the overall title with prizes, activations and a post-competition social.

Our story
It started with a handful of friends who just wanted more court time. Informal matches between campuses turned into fixtures, fixtures turned into a season, and a season turned into a national league.
The players were ready. The rivalries were real. What was missing was a proper competition to play for — so we built one.
